Testimonies of Love, Sacrifice, & Triumph
Our goal is to provide a more inclusive view of global immigration to the San Francisco Bay Area. Thousands of Immigrants come to the United States each year because of poverty and to escape violence or oppression. But they also come for education, to achieve their goals, or because of fate. Their lives, stories, pictures, and oral histories tell the dramatic story of a massive and continuous movement. Ethnic Studies at California State University East Bay seeks to collect and archive these stories, collaborate with other institutions, and make the information available to the public.
